Well, it’s that time again. It’s time to surf the internet for the best spring cleaning tips. In my case, it’s time to brighten my carpet. I love entertaining my family and friends throughout the year. Unfortunately, heavy foot traffic from the social affairs leaves my carpet extremely dirty.

4. Keep Your Carpet Fresh
Sprinkling carpet freshener on your carpet between deep cleanings will keep it smelling fresh. Mix the following ingredients below and store carefully in a shaker.
-Ten to twenty drops of your favourite essential oil
-One cup of baking soda
-Add a ½ cup of borax if you have pets. The borax will keep the fleas in check.
Sprinkle your homemade carpet freshener on your carpet. Allow it to sit for ten to fifteen minutes. Vacuum as usual. It’s important to point out that you should do this on a dry day. You don’t want the baking soda to pick up any moisture.
